Following a satisfying breakfast in your hotel in Cairo, you will accompany your Egyptologist, who will take you to the Egyptian Museum, where you will get a chance to see the world’s biggest collection of Egyptian antiques, including King Tut’s coffins and golden masks.
You will spend roughly two hours in the museum before embarking on the tour of Islamic Cairo, starting with the renowned Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque and the Citadel of Saladin.
Following a sumptuous lunch, the journey proceeds to Coptic Cairo where you will explore the Hanging Church and the ancient Babylon Fortress.
You will also visit Saint Sergius Church, where the Holy Family was believed to have taken refuge. In Old Cairo’s former Jewish quarter, a visit to the Ben Ezra Synagogue will be made as well.
The trip concludes in Islamic Cairo, where you take a walk along the famous El Moez Ledin Ellah street, embellished with beautiful Islamic structures. Then proceed to the Khan El Khalili market, where you will have a taste of Turkish coffee or mango juice from the famous El Fishawy café.
Afterward, you will return to the hotel to end the day in Cairo.
